Marties idyllic memories of a poet from her college years rise again when he reappears, willing and able to continue the romance. Is her regular-guy husband any match against the dashing, artistic poet? Marties best friend is drawn to the poet as well. They discover that their poet uses the same old poem to romance all his lady friends and students. Will they have him arrested for the reckless use of a concealed poem?
